Yes, I'm Still Pregnant

Just wanted to let you all know that the baby is still hanging out in my belly. The ultrasound on Nov 20th went well. The baby's biophysical profile was 8/8 so there were no signs of distress. They let me go home for another week with another ultrasound and follow up appointment booked for Nov. 27th at which time they could do another set of measurements.

My last ultrasound on Nov. 27th showed that the baby has gained some weight, but not as much as we would have hoped. The previous set of measurements had the baby at the 16th percentile in terms of weight. The newest set of measurements has her at the 9th percentile. So she's actually dropped in percentile rank which is not generally a good thing but she remains healthy - the biophysical profile was again 8/8.

The high risk doc was on the fence about what to do in terms of inducing labour or letting me go another week. After a brief discussion it was decided to let it go for another week. There has never been any signs of distress and another week may give her a chance to put on a few more ounces. (The last ultrasound has her weighing about 5 lbs 10 oz) I go back for another ultrasound and follow up appointment on Friday (Dec. 4). They usually don't do another set of measurements when it has been less than 2 weeks since the last, but in this case they are making an exception.

So we wait until Friday and take it from there. I'm basically at the end of my pregnancy anyway so whenever she decides (or it's decided for her) to make her arrival, we are ready and I'm sure she will do just fine!

Thanks for checking in.
