I've started this blog as a way to share with friends and family my life as a mother of a TGA 'survivor'. As my son Joshua approaches his first birthday, I realize how important it is for me to share his story. Not only because I am a proud parent but also because I haven't actually sat down and committed his story to text. I've told his story many times and I would e-mail updates to various people during his stay in hospital, but nothing formal. I wasn't sure how best to share his story until I came across some of the blogs others with similar stories to mine have created and I thought it was the perfect medium. I can not only share his story but also keep friends and family updated on his day-to-day adventures.
I should mention that I am new to this whole 'blogging' process so it may take me a while to get the hang of it, and my little guy keeps me pretty busy but I hope to update as often as possible. My first "plan of action" though is to write Josh's story. It's a long story and it will take quite a bit of time but I will post it, in its entirety, as soon as it is completed. In the meantime I will post a brief overview of his story as soon as I am able to - hopefully this weekend.
And so I will leave you with a picture of my little guy taken just yesterday when, after 2 1/2 months of physio, finally started crawling! It was an exciting day to say the least.

Welcome to the blogging world! I've not been a very good blogger as of late. It's become one of those things I mean to do. I look forward to hearing Joshua's story! Thanks for reading Jacob's story & stopping by our page. When I get a chance, I'd love to add a link to your blog on my blogroll of heart kids!
This is great Corrie! He has been an inspiration for the whole family and i look forward to reading more about his amazing strength and recovery. With your permission, I would like to put a link to your site on my blog as well, but if you would prefer to keep it in the family, I won't. Thanks again for sharing this...

Hey thanks for stopping by! I certainly don't mind if you want to add a link to my site on your blog. I'd be honoured.
Corrie - This is a great way to keep us family members in the States up to date with his growth and progress. Hearing that he is now crawling is the best news so far! Keeping you all in our prayers!
Beautifully written Corrie.
I am guessing that like me,everyone who knows and loves you, Robb and Josh were holding their breathe too nervous to exhale. Occasionally I still tremble with fear but more over am filled with hope for the promise of what will be Josh's life. Your strength and courage throughout this journey have been remarkable and inspirational. Joshua's will to live has already left a footprint marking his way forward. There is joy and happiness in his face and I am certain his heart is filled with love.
Corrie, What a beautiful story and what a beautiful little boy you have. Aunt Ellen passed along your blog site and I'm so glad that we are able to see sweet Josh and what a blessing he is. I know he has a strong family surrounding him and he certainly has many well wishes and prayers being sent his way...
