A Sigh Of Relief

I had my fetal echo on Tuesday and just wanted to let you all know that it went very well. The baby was not in an ideal position but after an hour of looking at and examining the heart we have finally been given the good news that the baby's heart looks great. What a relief! I knew the chances that this baby would also have a heart problem were slim, but after what we went through with Josh, you just never know. I'm so glad that we can finally relax and put this behind us.

The cardiologist told us that very small holes in the heart or minor problems with the valves can be missed on the fetal echo so certainly if any murmurs are detected after birth they'll want to assess the baby at CHEO. However, she doesn't see any structural problems and at this point has no concerns.

In other news, we have moved in to our new place and are somewhat settled. There are still a few boxes to unpack and quite a bit of organizing to do, but everything will get done in good time. Josh had no problem adjusting to the new place - he seemed to settle in right away and has even taken well to being transitioned into a big boy bed. No more crib! My how quickly they grow up.

Anyway, I just wanted to share our good news. Thanks for checking in!
